A kindly, beloved fellow, Paddy traveled pub-to-pub across Ireland for more than four decades, selling Cork Distilleries Map of Ireland Whiskey the best way he knew – with free drinks and generous servings of conversation. Before long, patrons and publicans alike were clamoring for more of “Paddy’s whiskey,” so the name was changed to honor the man himself. Paddy’s namesake whiskey, triple distilled and aged in the oaken casks of County Cork, Ireland, was always light, balanced and pure. A smooth, accessible whiskey for nearly a quarter millennium. And it remains just so today, whenever friends join together around the award-winning whiskey that bears Paddy’s name.

Mirat™ begins its life as rum imported from the US Virgin Islands. In Nashville, TN we add our proprietary blend of coconut, vanilla, almond, lemon, and lime natural flavors,with just a touch of cane sugar. We're a couple of Nashville Native rum lovers who wanted something more approachable, shootable, and drinkable. We’re not saying it’s the best... but we are thinking it.

The traditional triple distillation method uses copper pot stills, which create and fine-tune the proper character. After the first distillation, the strength of the spirit is increased through a second distillation with a low wine still. A third distillation in the spirit still, creates a cut above 80% alcohol. This captures the heart of the spirit. Our coopers hand-select the finest former bourbon barrels in which to age our proper whiskey. Our spirit slowly ages developing through the years flavours of vanilla, honey and toasted wood. The blending of sweet Irish grain spirit and single malt Irish whiskey lies at the heart of Proper No. Twelve. Our Master Distiller selects casks that hold the rich character needed to craft Proper No. Twelve Whiskey.  

The village of Bushmills and whiskey's origins are inextricably linked. By the late 1500s, bootleggers were running an illicit distilling business in the area, drawn by its proximity to the pure waters of the River Bush and high-quality barley — two essential ingredients for crafting single malt whiskey. With the addition of the grain mills lining the River Bush, the village of Bushmills became the perfect setting for global whiskey renown.
