Our story begins long ago, when tales of folklore were passed as truth. The elusive mystery of Burnt Church Road in Bluffton, South Carolina is the reason why we are here. We believe the story of why the Lowcountry road was given such a polarizing name should become transparent. Our hope has always been and will continue to be to honor our past, learn from its mistakes, and push forward for a better future. The inspiration for this distillery is as deeply-rooted in our community as the storied tales of the past; from the notes and flavors of each hand-crafted spirit to the historic streets that bear their names. The once elusive story of Burnt Church Road soon became as clear as our vodka. Thought to be lost centuries ago – we have the story, and now you have Burnt Church Vodka.

Coole Swan was born of a vision to reinvent Irish Cream Liqueur for a modern world. It is an unruly re-creation of a classic Irish product, a perfect blend of whiskey, chocolate and cream. On the 231st attempt, the recipe was perfected. Smooth, soft Irish whiskey, fresh cream and silky Belgian white chocolate combine to create Coole Swan. Every batch is blended with care in Co. Cavan by makers driven by a fierce love of the liquid. It’s more than a drink, it’s our passion. We love ours neat or over ice but always chilled and we’re also quite partial to it in a cocktail.

Around 40 years ago, Don Alberto Becherano began making tequila a hobby. He spent more than a decade perfecting his proprietary method for making what we believe to be among the best-tasting Tequilas in the world. Ours are ultra-premium tequilas perfect for sipping or your favorite craft cocktails. Today, the family-owned and operated Cavas de Don Max handcrafts each batch of our award-winning Tequilas to exacting standards for taste and smoothness. Our time-honored, proprietary distilling processes create a unique taste that comes from the very specific practices established over generations.

Upstate Vodka is both very traditional and quite unique for vodka due to the use of apples. The final product is not “flavored” but the apple base does lend a wonderful mouthfeel and a nice hint of fruit on the back end of the palate. You can taste the fruits of our labor in every bottle of Upstate Vodka. Not every apple is created equal and not every batch is exactly the same. Part science, part art, using local apples, we take the time and a hands-on approach to make the finest quality vodka every time. We take pride in creating a small batch, truly hand crafted, agricultural product.

Originally formed in 2015 as a small group of bourbon enthusiasts in Atlanta, GA, the Shortbarrel name has since become synonymous with top-notch quality. Handpicked with great care, only barrels that meet our group’s exacting standards proudly bear our name. Over four years (2016-2020), we embarked on countless barrel-picking adventures, meticulously selecting around 350 different barrels—possibly more, but things get fuzzy. It was during a Sunday in Louisville in 2020, after indulging in bourbons for hours, that we drunkenly crossed paths with a barrel broker. In a moment of inspired intoxication, we decided to venture into the realm of creating our brand. Thus, Shortbarrel was born, and in early 2021, we hit shelves in GA. Fast forward three years and with more than 10,000 cases sold, we find ourselves eager to expand beyond our current region. Naturally, the logical next step on our journey is Kentucky, where we have secured a contract to distill.
